Life on YouTube

Hey Lovelies!

I know it has been forever and a day since my last post. This blog has not been forgotten though. I have plans for it still, just sadly all of my YouTubing has taken up much of my free time. I plan by next month to have a weekly post up. If that goes over well, I plan to increase the number of posts. Just gonna start out small so I don't get to overwhelmed. I hope you are having a great fall!

As always!

Be Nice!

And Keep Gaming

I have been wanting to make a Diablo 3 video for over a year now. I hope you enjoy my random video, and I hope you stick around for more in the future.

Keep gaming!

Why gaming makes me happy!

Hey Hey Lovelies!

So I was sitting here drinking coffee this morning, and I was thinking about all the things in my life that make me happy. I can name a ton of stuff that makes me happy, but one specific thing has a huge impact on my everyday life.

Gaming, the most wonderful activity and hobby I take part of daily. One thing I love is the stories, I love to get lost in a good game and get away from my "Real life". I like the fact that I have multiple life's and not two of them are the same. It's fun to explore in a world that is not my own.

I never have a reason to be bored with a game at hand. It is hard for me to understand why people are always saying they are bored. With so many games in this world, you would think they wouldn't have the time to say "I am bored" granted I know not everyone games even though I personally think they should.

My list can go on forever on why gaming makes me so happy. I guess in it's own way it fills all the empty gaps in my real life. It fulfills me, gaming is me, always has been and always will be.

Does gaming make you happy?

Happy Gaming

My Diablo 3 Addiction

Heyhey Lovelies!

Today I decided to blog about one of my new old favorites. Diablo 3 has become my new addiction once again. When D3 first came out a few years ago, I played the game for a good amount of time. Now a days, I can honestly call Diablo 3 one of my top played games in my whole life time. It is right next to Anarchy Online and Animal Crossing Wild World.

Having spent 100's of hours in to D3, I can honestly give my reasons why I can't get enough of this dungeon crawler. First being I love the surprise you get when a legendary item drops. It is like Christmas every time I log on and start killing stuff.

It is also one of them games you can play for 20 minutes to 8 hours plus. It really don't matter how much time you have to offer the game. You can get a ton done in as little to as much time as you have to offer it. Personally I feel like I get the most done out of 3-4 hours a few times a week. Granted some days I can pretty much play all day.

I love how you can personalize your setup. It adds another element to the game knowing you have your choices of setups. You can either go for your own thing or get the set up everyone is drooling over.

I recommend Diablo 3 to everyone and anyone, hardcore gamer or casual gamer. It is honestly a 10 out of 10 in my book. I seriously can not get enough, and even writing about it right now makes me want to log on and play.

Happy Gaming

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Supremacy DLC!!!

Heyhey Lovelies!

So yesterday was a big day for one of my favorite games. The new Downloadable content for Call of Duty Advance Warfare came out for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. This DLC is available for $14.99 plus tax or if you are a lucky one and you have the season pass you don't have to worry about this little fee because you paid your duty already. (No pun intended lol)

This new little addition includes 4 new multi-player maps, and the next story in the Zombie series called "Carrier"

Sadly I only have played for about two hours total, and in that time I got addicted to the new zombie map. I haven't even touched the new multi-player maps due to the lack of time I had in the day. So today my goal is to get a taste of each of the new maps.

So my first impressions of the new zombie map "Carrier" are as followed. "OMG THIS IS INSANE!" I like to consider myself somewhat of a zombie pro when it comes to Call of Duty. I know I am not the best player but I know I am far from the worst. With this being said I am going to need practice to get to that lovely wave 30 achievement. I was able to get to 19 with the help of a friend in my 1st attempt. Not to shabby if you ask me, I haven't played solo yet but I look forward to doing so.

I like a good challenge so I am not complaining. I think it is cool that some of the Zombies have guns and can blow your brains out. I also love the mini game they threw it, what better way to waste your grenades then to try to rack up points. It reminds me of my childhood and going to the fairs to play the impossible games they had to offer. Yet this one I seem to be pretty decent at making it in the hole. (That's what he said lol)

Hopefully by tomorrow I can give more of a full review on this new DLC

Till then Keep Gaming!

The Sunday Sandwich

Hey hey Lovelies!

I know it has been a little bit since my last post. Long story short I sprained my right wrist and I ended up with the flu right after. The good news is I am doing much better and I am ready to enter this week with a new weekly post called "The Sunday Sandwich" the topic of this post is a overview of all the games I was playing during that week. I thought it would be fun to share my gaming experiences of the week with you all. In hopes of you sharing your current games, and suggestions with me. I would love to get some interaction with this post.

This week my gaming choices were a little all over the place. This week was a tricky week trying to game with a sprained wrist but I did accomplish to get a good amount of gaming in, sadly not enough.

Nintendo 3DS

Pokemon Omega Ruby- I was just given this awesome game as a gift from a lovely person. I haven't gotten as far as I would like but my Pokemon team is growing strong together. I like to focus on leveling up a good team rather then just my starter Pokemon like some do. I am past the first gym on my way to the second.

Pokemon Shuffle-This is a free game you can download from the Nintendo eShop. I find it to be highly addictive but it has its downfall. It is set up like the typical Facebook game, where you need to either wait for more turns or you can buy more turns in the eShop. I personally wouldn't pay for more turns or cheats, but I do like the puzzle game vibe of it. (Expect a full review this week)

Tomodachi Life- I haven't played this game in so long! I had a ton of visitors that I by passed via StreetPass. I also hopped in at a good time I was able to get limited edition leprechaun hats. I love how Nintendo makes Holidays even more fun making games feel festive. Animal Crossing is another great game that interacts like this.

Nintendo Wii U

Kirby and The Rainbow Curse- I recently bought this game and I have a love hate relationship with it. Kirby seriously drives me nuts!!!! However I have had much fun playing this game, I don't recommend it to people who have no patience. I am thinking of doing a full game review on this title if you are interested comment down below :)

Xbox 360

Call of Duty Advance Warefare- As most weeks go this is one of my go to games. I played a few rounds online and did some zombie runs. This game never gets old, it is always a fun choice in my opinion.

Skylanders Swap~Force- I didn't get to play this game as much as I would of liked too, I got some levels on a few of my Skylanders and finished a chapter or two in the campaign.

Diablo III- I finally got to try out Diablo III on a console. I Have to say I am pretty impressed on how they threw it all together. The controls take a little bit to get used to, I also noticed that the drops are not as great as the PC version. Overall I am looking forward to playing more of D3 on the Xbox 360.

Midnight Club Los Angeles- I ended up buying this game randomly, it's not my typical style of a game choice. I learned that I drive better in Mario Kart and I have more fun updating my car in the Shop. I am not sure how much I will play this game in the future I didn't get addicted at all.

PC

Diablo III-I finally hopped in to D3 again, I have to say I am glad I did. I had so much fun running around with my cute and fluffy zoo. (Demon Hunter main) I love all the new updates and I am happy to say I am Paragon 170, I have a ton of catching up to do but you can beat on me logging in to game more often.

I hope you all had a fun week, and mostly I hope this week is full of awesome as well.

Happy gaming, Love Luckystarr =^-^=

Goodbye Club Nintendo...

Hey hey Pretty Peeps!

Since January 20th of this year when Nintendo announced the sad news that they are ending the Club Nintendo program. I have been debating on how to spend my left over gold coins. Personally I learned from the lesson of not uploading all of my codes to the site at once because they would expire and I lost a few 100 coins due to my own stupidity of saving up for something I couldn't afford and forgetting about it.

In case you are new to this, Nintendo has/had a program that you join and when you buy a new game or new system you get a code. With this code you put it in to the site and do a little survey. Which you would earn gold coins that you can use to get free goodies with such as downloadable games, t-shirts, Posters, game holders and more.

I have been going though many of my Nintendo games punching in codes. I ended up with well over 800 points and I am still not done gathering all the codes. That was the easy part, putting the codes in, the hard part for me is choosing what to buy. Lucky for me a handful of the games they have for download I already own. There was a few new ones that caught my eye, last night so I snatched up Harmo Knight for the 3DS. It is a rhythm based action game made from the same people who made Pokemon. Which if you know me personally you would know I love Rhythm games and I adore Pokemon. I played the game for a good hour or two and I have to say I am hooked. I plan to do a complete review on this game in the future.

With many points left to spend, as well as a deadline. I wanted to share how long the life of Club Nintendo will be around for. I would hate to see gold coins rot when they could be used for new games, or personal classic favorites!

March 31st 2015- Is the last day you can sign up and earn coins/register a product.

June 30th 2015- Is the Last day to spend your hard earned gold coins, the site shuts down at 11:59pm PT.

You still have a little time to take advantage of this awesome opportunity. With Nintendo being so awesome they are still doing the Elite Status program this year. If you earn 300 coins (Gold Status) or 600 coins (Platinum Status) between July 1, 2014 and March 31, 2015. You will be given the choice to choose between a free Wii U game or a 3DS game! Game choices depend on your status rank. This Elite Status gift will be available between April 1 and April 30, 2015. Also just in case you are wondering theses games are given as downloadable codes.

Nintendo is planning on a new Loyalty program. Not much news has been announced about this new club yet. I just hope it is as giving and awesome as Club Nintendo was.

No Time to Game?!?!

Hey hey Lovelies! One of the most heard things I hear weekly is my friends saying they lack time to game.I used to think I had this problem till I figured out ways to use my time wisely. I consider this my "gaming time", since gaming is important to me I make room for it. Not only did I realize this made me enjoy my week more, it also made me happier. As you know when you are happier life is more successful and productive.

Before I realized how to set a side time to game, I thought I always needed to make room for three hours plus. This could be because I was addicted to a MMORPG (Anarchy Online) it was main game I played at the time. So the doors didn't open for many other games. Or this could be because I was going by what everyone else was doing. Not everyone has the same life style, so don't make the mistake I did and compare yourself to others. When you compare yourself to others you fail.

I figured out fast if I wanted to game, I needed to figure out how to control my gaming. Such as figuring out what games can be played and enjoyed in a hour, half hour, or a evening/day of gaming. Personally my favorite is full days and evenings of gaming, I love the ability to focus and get the object of the game done with no deadline. Sadly not everyday can be enjoyed like this, but that don't mean I can't game.

Handhelds are great for on the go gaming, and a good amount of the games can be enjoyed in short bursts. Some of my favorite games for short time gaming are Pokemon (Any game in the series will do) Mario games, Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon just to name a few. I noticed that Nintendo is making more games for people with busy schedules, last summer Tomodachi Life was released, this game is great for them moments you have 15 mins or even a few hours if you get hardcore enough for the game.

Console and PC gaming can be enjoyed in short bursts as well. You could find games with chapters or great online play. One of my favorite games for a half hour to a hour of gaming is Call of Duty. This game is great for online play and campaign chapters. Mario Kart and Super Smash Bro's are two other titles that are super fun and are not time consuming (unless you make it that way).Diablo III is my favorite PC title for short time gaming.

Now don't forget I am only suggesting games and ideas. The world is full of amazing games the trick is finding out what games work for you and the amount of time you have to game. Don't let your busy life style stop you from enjoying gaming to it's fullest. Life is to short to push aside what you love.

My Top 5 Games for short gaming currently are.

1. Call of Duty Advance Warefare on the Xbox 360

2. Skylanders Swap~Force on the Xbox 360

3. Harvest Moon A New Beginning on the Nintendo 3DS

4. Mario Kart 8 on the Nintendo Wii U

5. NES Remix on the Nintendo 3Ds

One word... Amiibo

Hey Pretty Peeps!

Unless you have been living in under a rock since November 2014, you are well aware of the Amiibo rage. Just in case you have no idea what I am talking about. Nintendo released figures that you can use to interact in some of the supported Nintendo games. Such games as Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart 8 as well as a few other hit titles. In the near future you will be able to use theses figures in more supported games. Both the Wii U and the 3DS have games that you can use theses adorable figures with.

There is some pro's and con's with everything. Each wave of Amiibos that Nintendo releases has the ultra rare ones. They end up being bought up super quickly after release, and being sold for high dollars. Each store only gets a certain amount of each Amiibo making it difficult for the normal consumer (yourself) to purchase. Lucky for you each wave has some characters that like to hog shelf space.

If you need a Mario or a Princess Peach, you wont have a issue. I have been to many stores and it's always the same five or six Amiibo characters lined up on a peg board. I really don't mind the idea of "rares" or "hard to find" Ammibos. I think it brings some excitement in to collecting. It's like real life Pokemon, you don't catch the awesome Pokemon right away and some get away.

I personally only have a handful of Amiibos. Mostly because I am a cheapskate or hella picky on the condition of the boxes. I decided not to open most of mine, I did however open the lovely Princess Peach so I could use her in Super Smash Bros on the Wii U and Mario Kart 8.

One thing I love about Amiibos is it expands the amount of time you play in a game and it gives you something to collect. Myself being a huge action figure fan, I like the idea of collection of many. I find it to be like download content but in a pretty case. If game companies were smart they would release download content on figures, for game collectors to snatch up. As well as making it download as well for the non-hoarders.

I hope in the future Nintendo makes it possible to "Catch them all" if not I am happy with the Amiibos I was/am able to get my paws on.

Good luck Hunting! Love Lucky <333

New year, new start!

Hey Lovelies!

I know it has been such a long time since I last updated this blog. Sadly I have stopped playing AO almost 100%. Did I quit? Naw I would never quit AO for good, I still hop in from time to time. I still am a paid player as well, but I found love in other games. I wanted to expand the types of games I play and branch out more in the wonderful world of gaming.

So in the last... say year and a half I have played a good range of games from all sorts of systems. I really got a taste of what is out there and what I love and what I hate. I never got this chance when I was playing Anarchy Online 95% of the time. I think of this as a good experience.

So what have I been playing? I guess I should change that to what haven't I been playing? I found a love in first person shooters or shall I say the Call of Duty Series. I know this isn't the only FPS game out on the market, but it is the one that caught my heart. I love pretty much everything about the series, fan-girl thoughts aside ;).

I also have caught a fun hobby of playing Gameboy and Gameboy Advance games, I enjoy hunting them down at flea-markets and Thrift Stores. Big fan of the Disney games on them systems, most likely because I never got them as a kid. I am re-living my childhood though the games Santa didn't bring me as a child.

As for PC gaming I kinda put that aside for the time, I am open to trying to new games on the PC. I don't hate it I just feel it is a time in my life to branch out from the PC.

With all of this said, I am going to make this blog more of a "Gaming" blog rather then a "Anarchy Online" Blog. I want to share my experiences with anyone who cares to learn about them. I also want to learn about what others think about the wide range of games on the market.

Cheers! <3 Love Lucky <333
