Goodbye Club Nintendo...

Hey hey Pretty Peeps!

Since January 20th of this year when Nintendo announced the sad news that they are ending the Club Nintendo program. I have been debating on how to spend my left over gold coins. Personally I learned from the lesson of not uploading all of my codes to the site at once because they would expire and I lost a few 100 coins due to my own stupidity of saving up for something I couldn't afford and forgetting about it.

In case you are new to this, Nintendo has/had a program that you join and when you buy a new game or new system you get a code. With this code you put it in to the site and do a little survey. Which you would earn gold coins that you can use to get free goodies with such as downloadable games, t-shirts, Posters, game holders and more.

I have been going though many of my Nintendo games punching in codes. I ended up with well over 800 points and I am still not done gathering all the codes. That was the easy part, putting the codes in, the hard part for me is choosing what to buy. Lucky for me a handful of the games they have for download I already own. There was a few new ones that caught my eye, last night so I snatched up Harmo Knight for the 3DS. It is a rhythm based action game made from the same people who made Pokemon. Which if you know me personally you would know I love Rhythm games and I adore Pokemon. I played the game for a good hour or two and I have to say I am hooked. I plan to do a complete review on this game in the future.

With many points left to spend, as well as a deadline. I wanted to share how long the life of Club Nintendo will be around for. I would hate to see gold coins rot when they could be used for new games, or personal classic favorites!

March 31st 2015- Is the last day you can sign up and earn coins/register a product.

June 30th 2015- Is the Last day to spend your hard earned gold coins, the site shuts down at 11:59pm PT.

You still have a little time to take advantage of this awesome opportunity. With Nintendo being so awesome they are still doing the Elite Status program this year. If you earn 300 coins (Gold Status) or 600 coins (Platinum Status) between July 1, 2014 and March 31, 2015. You will be given the choice to choose between a free Wii U game or a 3DS game! Game choices depend on your status rank. This Elite Status gift will be available between April 1 and April 30, 2015. Also just in case you are wondering theses games are given as downloadable codes.

Nintendo is planning on a new Loyalty program. Not much news has been announced about this new club yet. I just hope it is as giving and awesome as Club Nintendo was.

No Time to Game?!?!

Hey hey Lovelies! One of the most heard things I hear weekly is my friends saying they lack time to game.I used to think I had this problem till I figured out ways to use my time wisely. I consider this my "gaming time", since gaming is important to me I make room for it. Not only did I realize this made me enjoy my week more, it also made me happier. As you know when you are happier life is more successful and productive.

Before I realized how to set a side time to game, I thought I always needed to make room for three hours plus. This could be because I was addicted to a MMORPG (Anarchy Online) it was main game I played at the time. So the doors didn't open for many other games. Or this could be because I was going by what everyone else was doing. Not everyone has the same life style, so don't make the mistake I did and compare yourself to others. When you compare yourself to others you fail.

I figured out fast if I wanted to game, I needed to figure out how to control my gaming. Such as figuring out what games can be played and enjoyed in a hour, half hour, or a evening/day of gaming. Personally my favorite is full days and evenings of gaming, I love the ability to focus and get the object of the game done with no deadline. Sadly not everyday can be enjoyed like this, but that don't mean I can't game.

Handhelds are great for on the go gaming, and a good amount of the games can be enjoyed in short bursts. Some of my favorite games for short time gaming are Pokemon (Any game in the series will do) Mario games, Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon just to name a few. I noticed that Nintendo is making more games for people with busy schedules, last summer Tomodachi Life was released, this game is great for them moments you have 15 mins or even a few hours if you get hardcore enough for the game.

Console and PC gaming can be enjoyed in short bursts as well. You could find games with chapters or great online play. One of my favorite games for a half hour to a hour of gaming is Call of Duty. This game is great for online play and campaign chapters. Mario Kart and Super Smash Bro's are two other titles that are super fun and are not time consuming (unless you make it that way).Diablo III is my favorite PC title for short time gaming.

Now don't forget I am only suggesting games and ideas. The world is full of amazing games the trick is finding out what games work for you and the amount of time you have to game. Don't let your busy life style stop you from enjoying gaming to it's fullest. Life is to short to push aside what you love.

My Top 5 Games for short gaming currently are.

1. Call of Duty Advance Warefare on the Xbox 360

2. Skylanders Swap~Force on the Xbox 360

3. Harvest Moon A New Beginning on the Nintendo 3DS

4. Mario Kart 8 on the Nintendo Wii U

5. NES Remix on the Nintendo 3Ds

One word... Amiibo

Hey Pretty Peeps!

Unless you have been living in under a rock since November 2014, you are well aware of the Amiibo rage. Just in case you have no idea what I am talking about. Nintendo released figures that you can use to interact in some of the supported Nintendo games. Such games as Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart 8 as well as a few other hit titles. In the near future you will be able to use theses figures in more supported games. Both the Wii U and the 3DS have games that you can use theses adorable figures with.

There is some pro's and con's with everything. Each wave of Amiibos that Nintendo releases has the ultra rare ones. They end up being bought up super quickly after release, and being sold for high dollars. Each store only gets a certain amount of each Amiibo making it difficult for the normal consumer (yourself) to purchase. Lucky for you each wave has some characters that like to hog shelf space.

If you need a Mario or a Princess Peach, you wont have a issue. I have been to many stores and it's always the same five or six Amiibo characters lined up on a peg board. I really don't mind the idea of "rares" or "hard to find" Ammibos. I think it brings some excitement in to collecting. It's like real life Pokemon, you don't catch the awesome Pokemon right away and some get away.

I personally only have a handful of Amiibos. Mostly because I am a cheapskate or hella picky on the condition of the boxes. I decided not to open most of mine, I did however open the lovely Princess Peach so I could use her in Super Smash Bros on the Wii U and Mario Kart 8.

One thing I love about Amiibos is it expands the amount of time you play in a game and it gives you something to collect. Myself being a huge action figure fan, I like the idea of collection of many. I find it to be like download content but in a pretty case. If game companies were smart they would release download content on figures, for game collectors to snatch up. As well as making it download as well for the non-hoarders.

I hope in the future Nintendo makes it possible to "Catch them all" if not I am happy with the Amiibos I was/am able to get my paws on.

New year, new start!

Hey Lovelies!

I know it has been such a long time since I last updated this blog. Sadly I have stopped playing AO almost 100%. Did I quit? Naw I would never quit AO for good, I still hop in from time to time. I still am a paid player as well, but I found love in other games. I wanted to expand the types of games I play and branch out more in the wonderful world of gaming.

So in the last... say year and a half I have played a good range of games from all sorts of systems. I really got a taste of what is out there and what I love and what I hate. I never got this chance when I was playing Anarchy Online 95% of the time. I think of this as a good experience.

So what have I been playing? I guess I should change that to what haven't I been playing? I found a love in first person shooters or shall I say the Call of Duty Series. I know this isn't the only FPS game out on the market, but it is the one that caught my heart. I love pretty much everything about the series, fan-girl thoughts aside ;).

I also have caught a fun hobby of playing Gameboy and Gameboy Advance games, I enjoy hunting them down at flea-markets and Thrift Stores. Big fan of the Disney games on them systems, most likely because I never got them as a kid. I am re-living my childhood though the games Santa didn't bring me as a child.

As for PC gaming I kinda put that aside for the time, I am open to trying to new games on the PC. I don't hate it I just feel it is a time in my life to branch out from the PC.

With all of this said, I am going to make this blog more of a "Gaming" blog rather then a "Anarchy Online" Blog. I want to share my experiences with anyone who cares to learn about them. I also want to learn about what others think about the wide range of games on the market.

Cheers! <3 Love Lucky <333
